Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Temperature Control Valve 1 position does not agree with the Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1 command.

Possible Causes:

  • Temperature Control Valve 1 (L23)
  • Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1 (A87)
  • Associated Wiring

  • AW700-21-0160 - "PACK FAULT" CAS message while CAIMS / OMS is active (Global Express - 9002 to 9153 and Global 5000 - 9127 to 9411, 9417 to 9431, 9998 and Global Express XRS - 9159 to 9429)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks between Temperature Control Valve and ACSC 1.

    1. If wiring check are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring check are good, continue with next step.

  2. Swap Temperature Control Valve 1 with Temperature Control Valve 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Temperature Control Valve 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Replace ACSC 1.
  4. Do close out.
