CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Left Pack Discharge Temperature-Sensors has been detected out of range by Air Conditioning Controller (ACSC) 1 Channel B.

Possible Causes:

  • Air Conditioning System Controller (A87)
  • Pack Discharge Temperature-Sensors (PDTS) 1 (E27)
  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 1 (A17)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Access CAIMS. Check status of PDTS from the ACSC 1 and the DAU 1B. If both are reporting the PDTS defective, Continue to step 3.
  2. If only one component has reported the PDTS as defective, Swap the reporting component (DAU or ACSC) and perform step 1 again.
  3. Perform wiring checks between Pack Discharge Temperature Sensor and ACSC 1.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Perform wiring checks between Pack Discharge Temperature Sensor and DAU 1.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Replace PDTS 1.
  6. Do close out.
