AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Left Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor has been detected out of range by Air Conditioning Controller (ACSC) 1 Channel B.

Possible Causes:

  • Air Conditioning System Controller 1 (A87)
  • Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor 1 (E25)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin:

  • AW700-21-0160 - "PACK FAULT" CAS message while CAIMS/OMS is active (Global Express - 9002 to 9153 and G5000 - 9127 to 9411, 9417 to 9431, 9998 and Global XRS - 9159 to 9429)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensors 1 with Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensors 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensors 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor and ACSC 1.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Replace ACSC 1.
  4. Do close out.
