Fault Description:
The Aft Cabin Temperature Selector (located on the Bleed-Air Control Panel) has been detected out of range by the Left Air Conditioning Controller (ACSC).
Possible Causes:
- Air Conditioning System Controller 1 (A87)
- Aft Cabin Temperature Selector (R1)
- Bleed Air Control Panel (AP8)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform wiring checks between ACSC 1 and the AFT temperature SELECTOR located on the BLEED-AIR Control Panel.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks of the BLEED-AIR Control Panel.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Measure AFT temperature potentiometer (R1) total resistance. Resistance should be 1000 ohms.
- Connect the Ohm meter on the potentiometer wiper. Rotate potentiometer slowly and make sure there is no dead spot on potentiometer or any other deficiencies.
- Replace ACSC 1.
- Do close out.
