WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Air-Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 2 Receiver Channel A does not receive data from Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2.

Possible Causes:

  • Air-Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 2 (A88)
  • Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2 (A70)
  • Junction Box (JB4)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap ACSC 2 with ACSC 1.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace ACSC 2 and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Swap BMC 2 with BMC 1.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace BMC 2 and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a wiring check between ACSC 2 and BMC 2 (ref: Wiring Manual: 36-11-00 Sheet 2 of 12 Page 2).

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a continuity check of JB4 (ref Wiring Manual: 36-11-00 Sheet 2 of 12 Page 2).

    1. If there is continuity, repair the defective associated wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Replace JB4.
  6. Do close out.
