CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Right Pack Discharge Temperature-Sensors has been detected out of range by Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 2 Channel B.

Possible Causes:

  • Pack Discharge Temperature Sensor (PDTS) 2 (E33)
  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 2 (A18)
  • Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 2 (A88)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Access CAIMS. Check status of PDTS from the ACSC 2 and the DAU 2B.

    1. If both are reporting the PDTS defective, continue to step 3.
    2. If only one component has reported the PDTS as defective, continue with next step.

  2. Swap the reporting component either DAU or ACSC 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace defective LRU and perform step 1 again.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a wiring check between Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor and ACSC 2.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a wiring check between Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor and DAU 2.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Replace Pack Discharge Temperature Sensor 2.
  6. Do close out.
