Fault Description:
Generator Control Unit (GCU) 2 has received a Generator Line Contactor (GLC) inhibit (GLC INH) signal from the AC Power Center (ACPC) or has detected a failure in its internal GLC inhibit sensing circuit.
Possible Causes:
- Generator Control Unit (GCU) 2 (A57)
- AC Power Center (ACPC) (A54)
- Primary Logic Card (PLC) 1
- Primary Logic Card (PLC) 2
- Primary Logic Card (PLC) 3
- Associated Wiring
Troubleshooting Tips:
Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None
Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None
A GCU patch cable (GSE REF # 24X-24-02) can be used to swap GCUs 1, 4 and 5 into position 2 or 3 (for troubleshooting only).
The GCU NVMs can only be downloaded at position #2 or #3.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Swap GCU 2 with GCU 3.
- If system checks are good, replace GCU 2 and do close out.
- If the fault remains, continue with next step.
- Remove PLC 1.
- If system checks are good, install a new PLC in the #1 position and do close out.
- If the fault remains, re-install PLC 1 and continue with next step.
- Remove PLC 2
- If system checks are good, install a new PLC in the #2 position and do close out.
- If the fault remains, re-install PLC 2 and continue with next step.
- Remove PLC 3.
- If system checks are good, install a new PLC in the #3 position and do close out.
- If the fault remains, continue with next step.
- Remove PLC 1, PLC 2, PLC 3 and perform wiring checks for ground short fault.
- On GCU 2, disconnect connector A57P2 and using a multi-meter, check for a ground on A57P2-29.
- If the ground short fault is not detected, go to step 8.
- If the ground short fault is detected, continue with next step.
- On ACPC, disconnect connector A54P7 and on connector A57P2, using a multi-meter, check for a ground on A57P2-29.
- If the ground short fault is detected, repair or replace the defective wiring between GCU 2 and the ACPC and do close out.
- If the ground short fault is not detected, continue with next step.
- Replace the ACPC.
- Do close out.
