Fault Description:
Generator Control Unit (GCU) 2 senses a Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG) failure on phase A.
Possible Causes:
- Generator Control Unit (GCU) 2 (A57)
- Variable Frequency Generator 2 (G2)
- Associated Wiring

Overcurrent detection specification:output current is more than 185 Amps on at least one phase of the Generator #2.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Swap GCU 2 with GCU 3.
- If system checks are good, replace GCU 2 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks between GEN 2 and GCU 2 as follow:
From To Result G2P1-G A57P1-E - If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace VFG 2.
- Do close out.
