Fault Description:
Generator Control Unit (GCU) 4 senses a Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG) failure on phase B.
Possible Causes:
- Generator Control Unit (GCU) 4 (A59)
- Variable Frequency Generator (VFG) 4 (G4)
- Associated Wiring

Over current detection specification: output current is more than 185 Amps on at least one phase of the Generator #4.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Swap GCU 4 with GCU 2.
- If system checks are good, replace GCU 4 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks between VFG 4 and GCU 4 as follow:
From To Result G4P1-C A59P1-F - If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace VFG 4.
- Do close out.
