Fault Description:
The AC Power Center (ACPC) Solid State Power Converter (SSPC) power card has detected a failure with the initialization of the AC SSPCs, the control logic circuitry and/or the load.
Possible Causes:
- AC Power Center (ACPC) Solid State Power Converter (SSPC) 5
- AC Power Center (ACPC) (A54)
- Left Recirculation Fan
- Associated Wiring

- If the FAN is inoperative without CAIMS message and breaker is IN, check wires between BLEED AIR CONTROL PANEL and EMS CDU 1 and 2
- If the breaker always tripping without CAIMS message, check for a short circuit between the LEFT RECIRC FAN and the SSPC #5

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Swap SSPC 5 with SSPC 10. Monitor the R AFT BOOST PUMP.
- If system checks are good, replace SSPC 5 card and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Disconnect the L RECIRC FAN and remove the SSPC card 5. Perform continuity check for open circuits between the connections that follows:
From To Result SSPC 5 P160-25 B17P1-C SSPC 5 P160-28 B17P1-B SSPC 5 P160-31 B17P1-A - If there is no continuity, repair the defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with next step.
- Perform continuity check between the connections that follows:
From To Result SSPC 5 P160-25 Ground SSPC 5 P160-28 Ground SSPC 5 P160-31 Ground SSPC 5 P160-25 SSPC 5 P160-28 SSPC 5 P160-25 SSPC 5 P160-31 SSPC 5 P160-28 SSPC 5 P160-31 - If the fault follows, replace the defective components and do close out.
- If there is continuity, go to step 5.
- If there is no continuity, continue with next step.
- Swap RECIRC FAN with another RECIRC FAN.
- If system checks are good, replace defective RECIRC FAN and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Disconnect connector A54P5. Repeat steps 3.
- If there is no continuity, repair defective aircraft wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with next step.
- Replace ACPC.
- Do close out.
