Fault Description:

The AC Power Center (ACPC) Solid-State Power Controller (SSPC) power card has detected a failure with the initialization of the AC SSPCs, the control logic circuitry and/or the load.

Possible Causes:

  • AC Power Center (ACPC) Solid−State Power Controller (SSPC) 13
  • Right Recirculation Fan
  • AC Power Center (ACPC) (A54)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None

Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

  • If the FAN is inoperative without CAIMS message and breaker is IN, check wires between BLEED AIR CONTROL PANEL and EMS CDU 1 and 2
  • If the breaker is always tripping without CAIMS message, check for a short circuit between the RIGHT RECIRC FAN and the SSPC #13

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap SSPC 13 with SSPC 10 and monitor the R AFT BOOST PUMP.

    1. If system checks are good, replace SSPC 13 card and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Disconnect the R RECIRC FAN connector B21P1 and remove the SSPC 13 card. Perform continuity check between the connections that follows:

    From To Result
    SSPC 13 P450-25 B21P1-C
    SSPC 13 P450-28 B21P1-B
    SSPC 13 P450-31 B21P1-A

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  3. Do continuity check between the connections that follows:

    From To Result
    SSPC 13 P450-25 Ground
    SSPC 13 P450-28 Ground
    SSPC 13 P450-31 Ground
    SSPC 13 P450-25 SSPC 13 P450-28
    SSPC 13 P450-25 SSPC 13 P450-31
    SSPC 13 P450-28 SSPC 13 P450-31

    1. If the fault remains, replace the defective components and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.
    3. If there is continuity, go to step 5.

  4. Swap RECIRC FAN with another RECIRC FAN.

    1. If system checks are good, replace defective RECIRC FAN and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Disconnect connector A54P1 and repeat step 3.

    1. If there is no continuity, repair aircraft wiring interface as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Replace ACPC.
  7. Do close out.
