Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the PMAT, gain access to CAIMS active faults. Are any of the following messages posted?

    1. If YES, troubleshoot CAIMS message first.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Swap PLC 1 with PLC 2. Did the fault follow to PLC 2?

    1. If YES, replace PLC 1 and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  3. Does the fault occur during APU start?

    1. If NO, go to step 5.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  4. Remove avionics battery and install a serviceable Avionic Battery for test purposes. Start APU and monitor the fault. Is the fault resolved?

    1. If YES, send the avionics battery to the battery shop and service the avionics battery.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  5. Remove PLC 1 and the BATT/RAT card in the DCPC. Perform a continuity check between both cards as follows:

    From To Result
    P110C-50 P410A-46

    1. If there is no continuity, go to step 8.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.
      DCP DCPC PRIMARY LOGIC CARD

  6. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P110C-50 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, go to step 8.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  7. Replace the BATT/RAT Interface card. Is the fault resolved?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  8. Replace DCPC.
  9. Do close out.
