Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Check if DCPC DIODE #7-D7 FAILED fault also exists.

    1. If YES, replace the Cabin feeder card and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Swap the DC ESS feeder card with DC 1 feeder card. Does the fault follow the card?

    1. If YES, replace DC ESS feeder card and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  3. Remove DC ESS feeder card and cabin feeder card in DCPC. Disconnect EM5 connector P502. Perform a resistance check for a short circuit as follows:
WARNING: Before getting access to EM5 connector P502, disconnect Avionics and APU Battery.

Diode (D6) Schematic P502 Location Diode (D6) Location
    diode_d6_location p502_location diode_d6_location
    From To Result
    P502-2 P502-7

    1. If there is a short circuit, replace D6 and do close out.
    2. If there is no short circuit, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P502-1 Ground
    P502-8 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, go to step 10.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P502-1 P331A-11
    P502-8 P531A-11

    1. If there is no continuity, go to step 10.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Perform a resistance check on EM1 as follows:

    From To Value Result
    J502-4 J502-2 562 Ω
    J502-2 J502-1 24 KΩ
    J502-7 J502-8 10 KΩ

    1. If the resistance values are incorrect, replace EM5 and do close out.
    2. If the resistance values are correct, continue with next step.

  7. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P502-2 D6-Anode

    1. If there is no continuity, go to step 10.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  8. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P502-7 D6-Cathode

    1. If there is no continuity, go to step 10.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  9. Replace Diode D6. Is the fault resolved?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  10. Replace DCPC.
  11. Do close out.
