Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Access DCPC to perform visual inspection of cooling fan assy. Ensure DCPC FAN connector P503 is connected properly.
  2. Select the Battery Master Switch to ON and check status of fan.

    1. If fan is not rotating, continue with next step.
    2. If fan is rotating, go to step 8.

  3. Check for 28 VDC between DCPC FAN connector and ground as follows:

    From To Result
    P503-A Ground

    1. If voltage are good, go to step 5.
    2. If no 28 Volts, continue with next step.

  4. Replace EM 5.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Perform wiring checks between DCPC FAN connector and ground as follow:

    From To Status Result
    P503-B Ground closed circuit
    P503-C Ground open circuit

    1. If wiring check result is same as status in table above, go to step 7.
    2. If wiring check result is not same as status in table above, continue with next step.

  6. Replace DCPC.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  7. Replace DCPC fan.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  8. Replace DCPQM 2.
