Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

When one or more of the following occurs:

  • The Stall Protection Computer (SPC) Channel A does not receive data from the Angle-Of-Attack (AOA) Sensor 1.
  • The data from AOA Sensor 1 received by SPC Channel A does not agree with the data from AOA Sensor 2 received by SPC Channel B.
  • OR,
  • The data from the Angle-Of-Attack Sensors received by one of the SPC Channels is not correct

NOTE: When a single AOA Sensor and signal is specified without the combination "AOA #1/AOA #2/WRG/SPC CH X", then the SPC senses that the specified AOA has a failure but can operate on the remaining functional resolver signal.

  • Angle-Of-Attack (AOA) Sensor 1 (MT136)
  • Angle-Of-Attack (AOA) Sensor 2 (MT137)
  • Stall Protection Computer (SPC) (A40)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks between AOAs and SPC.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Replace AOA 1.

  3. Replace AOA 2.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Replace Stall Protection Computer (SPC).
  5. Do close out.
