Fault Description:
Discrete output of the Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) that enable the Tray Fan is invalid.
Possible Causes:
- Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 (A124)
- Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 Tray Fan (B8)
- Associated Wiring

Performing a SLAT FLAP RESET on the EMS CDU may clear this fault.
NOTE: Wait at least one minute after SFCU reset to allow self test to run.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Swap SFCU 1 with SFCU 2.
- If system checks are good, replace SFCU 1 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks between the SFCU to the tray fan connector (B8P1).
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
NOTE: The fan is energized by 28 VDC on VE(+) and VE(-). The Fan Performance Sensor (FPS) is providing impedance.
- Replace the fan under the SFCU 1 Tray.
- Do close out.
