Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the EMS CDU, select CTRL function and SLAT/FLAP RESET.
NOTE: Wait at least one minute after SFCU reset to allow self-test to run.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Swap SFCU 1 with SFCU 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace SFCU 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Check resistance value as follows:
    From left flap resolver:

    From To Resistance Value Result
    A124AP1-96 A124AP1-95 13 to 24 ohms

    From right flap resolver:

    From To Resistance Value Result
    A124AP1-82 A124AP1-81 13 to 24 ohms

NOTE: Performing this resistance check will verify the interface wiring in addition to the resolver.

    1. If resistance is within tolerance, go to step 6.
    2. If resistance checks are out of tolerance, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a resistance check of the resolver as follows:
    From left flap resolver:

    From To Resistance Value Result
    MT67J1-2 MT67J1-1 13 to 24 ohms

    From right flap resolver:

    From To Resistance Value Result
    MT72J1-2 MT72J1-1 13 to 24 ohms

    1. If resistance of the resolver is out of tolerance, go to step 6.
    2. If resistance of the resolver is within tolerance, continue with next step.

  5. Perform wiring checks between the applicable SFCU and resolver.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  6. Replace resolver.
  7. Do close out.
