When one of the following conditions occurs:

• The output voltage is not within the permitted range
• The output current is not within the permitted range

• Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 (A124)
• Slat/Flap Control Handle (SFCH)
• Associated Wiring

There are alternative ways to clear the fault:

On the EMS CDU, select CTRL function and SLAT/FLAP RESET.

NOTE: Wait at least one minute after SFCU reset to allow self-test to run.

1. Swap SFCU 1 with SFCU 2.

   1. If system checks are good, replace SFCU 1 and do close out.
   2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

2. Remove the SFCU and perform resistance check between the flap RVDT and SFCU as follows:
   From FH RVDT one:

   From	To	Resistance Value	Result
   A124AP1-28	A124AP1-27	29 to 41 ohms

   From FH RVDT two:

   From	To	Resistance Value	Result
   A124AP1-41	A124AP1-40	29 to 41 ohms

   NOTE: Performing this resistance check will verify the interface wiring in addition to the resolver.

   1. If resistance is within tolerance, go to step 4.
   2. If resistance checks are out of tolerance, continue with next step.

3. Perform a resistance check of the RVDT as follows:
   From FH RVDT one:

   From	To	Resistance Value	Result
   MT79J1-2	MT79J1-1	29 to 41 ohms

   From FH RVDT two:

   From	To	Resistance Value	Result
   MT79J1-8	MT79J1-7	29 to 41 ohms

   1. If resistance of the Slat/Flap control handle is within tolerance, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
   2. If resistance of the Slat/Flap control handle is out of tolerance, continue with next step.

4. Replace SFCH.
5. Do close out.
