Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. If you have other CAS message related to the flight control system, perform the troubleshooting in SFP of this or these other CAS messages first.
  2. Access the Cockpit switch test page for the FCU 1 and FCU 2 and confirm the Pilot Roll SPLRS PBA toggle from "selected" to "not selected" in both FCU.

    1. If both FCU are not toggling, go to step 5.
    2. If only one is not toggling, continue with next step.
NOTE: Prior to swapping FCUs, clear FCUs latched faults. Make sure that FCUs have gone through the complete Built-In Test with all hydraulics systems pressurized and wait 30 seconds after the SPLRS STAB IN TEST CAS message is cleared.

  3. Swap FCUs.

    1. If system checks are good, replace defective FCU and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Perform wiring checks between FCU 1, FCU 2 and pilot roll spoiler PBA.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
