Fault Description:
There is a problem with the Multi-Function Spoiler Actuator rigging. Possibly due to incorrect Power Control Unit (PCU) Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) offset.
Possible Causes:
- Right Multi-Function Spoiler (MFS) 4 Actuator (B50)
- Flight-Control Unit (FCU) 1 (A65)

MFS panel amber or dashed on flight controls page.
This fault may sometime be cleared by performing the flight control system reset procedure. If the fault clears, swap FCU positions.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Access the system diagnostic in CAIMS and perform the MFS rigging in CAIMS.
- SYSTEM DIAG
- 27-00 FLIGHT CONTROLS
- FLIGHT CONTROL UNIT #1
- LRU TEST
- MF SPOILER #1/#4 AUTORIGGING
- CONFIRM
NOTE: Perform Auto-rigging test twice to confirm the results. Continue troubleshooting in relation to the results of the test.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Swap FCU 1 with FCU 2.
- If system checks are good, replace FCU 1. Reset FCUs latched faults and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace Right MFS 4 actuator.
NOTE: The suspected actuator will now be controlled/rigged by the FCU 2. - Do close out.
