Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap FCUs.

    1. If system checks are good, replace defective FCU. Reset FCUs latched faults and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Replace Pitch Trim Actuator

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. From the CAIMS page "DISPLAY HORIZ STAB DATA", make sure that there are no values shown in red for the HST XDCR 2.
  4. Make sure that both HST XDCRs data are within ±0.2 degrees
  5. If there are no values (or random values) displayed for the HST XDCR 2, perform wiring checks between HST XDCR 2 and FCUs.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  6. Check for the tolerance between two readings greater than ±0.2 degrees.

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  7. Replace the Pitch Trim Actuator.
  8. Do close out.
