Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

NOTE: Wings need to be filled above 50% and the center tank filled to at least 1000 lbs. before proceeding with any of the following.

  1. In CAIMS go to:

    1. System Diagnostics
    2. Chapter 28-00 Fuel
    3. Computer (FMQGC Channel A or B)
    4. LRU test
    5. Center Transfer Channel A or B
    6. Turn on/off left than right pump to verify pump operation.
    7. If both pumps operate, exit CAIMS and proceed to next step.

  2. Apply External Power.

    1. In Flight compartment on the APU Control Panel make sure switch is in the off position.
    2. On the throttle quadrant, put the Left and Right Engine Run switches to on.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Is the Left or Right wing quantity less than 50% full when the on side pump failed and the center tank is not empty?

    1. If YES, re-distribute wing/center tank fuel load.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Is CAS message gone?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  3. Refer to AW 700-28-0072 to determine if the failure is a known issue.

    1. If YES, follow instructions of AW700-28-0072 and continue with next step.
    2. If NO, go to step 5.

  4. Perform operation test of center transfer pumps. Is test passed?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  5. Replace FMQGC.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Perform a wiring checks between FMQGC and PMAT.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  7. Replace PMAT.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
