Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Using CAIMS, ensure following FMQGC internal fault messages are not displayed:

    1. FMQGC CH. A COMPUTER/WRG FAULT.
    2. FMQGC CH. B COMPUTER/WRG FAULT.

  2. Check FMQGC output communication with the DAUs. Using CAIMS System Diagnostic pages for each FMQGC channel. Ensure data page information is not red.If data is red, the communication between DAU or PMAT and the FMQGC is invalid.
  3. Check FMQGC CH A and CH B ARINC outputs data communication validity and activity for DAU1 and DAU2.

    1. If FMQGC CH A communications is invalid, continue with next step.
    2. If FMQGC CH B communications is invalid, go to step 5.

  4. Swap DAU 1 and DAU 3.

    1. If fault indication is gone, replace DAU 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remain, continue with next step.

  5. Swap DAU 2 and DAU 4.

    1. If fault indication is gone, replace DAU 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remain, continue with next step.

  6. Perform wiring checks between FMQGC CH A and CH B ARINC outputs and DAU1 and DAU2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  7. Refer to CAIMS troubleshooting task for further troubleshooting procedures for ARINC communication with the DAU and PMAT.
  8. Do close out.
