Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Check if any of the following fault messages appear on the EICAS display:

    1. If YES, select displayed message from menu and perform troubleshooting.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  2. Remove the FMQGC, the DAU 2 to get access to connector A18CP1 and the DAU 1 to get access to connector A17CP1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
NOTE: While the FMQGC is removed, make sure to inspect the FMQGC and FMQGC tray connectors. Check for damage, bent or pushed back pins and contamination.

    From To Result
    A17CP1-F6 Ground
    A17CP1-G6 Ground
    A18CP1-F6 Ground
    A18CP1-G6 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with the next step.

  3. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    A17CP1-F6 A47EP1-A4
    A17CP1-G6 A47EP1-A5
    A18CP1-F6 A47EP1-C4
    A18CP1-G6 A47EP1-C5

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  4. Reinstall the FMQGC making it is fully and properly inserted into place. Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, continue with the next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  5. Swap DAU 1 with DAU 3. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace DAU 1 and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  6. Swap DAU 2 with DAU 4. Is the fault still present?
