Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Carry out a quantity check of the hydraulic system 2.

    1. If system low quantity found, service system, check system for leaks and do close out.
    2. If quantity is good, continue with next step.

  2. Ensure fuel is present in the wing(s).
NOTE: Hydraulic system 1 fluid heat exchanger is located at the bottom of the right wing fuel tank. Low fuel quantity in the right wing fuel tank can cause high hydraulic fluid temperature.
  3. Operate ACMP 2B and EDP 2A individually and note temperature indication.

    1. If high (above normal range) temperatures are noted with either pump, replace ACMP 2B and do close out.
    2. If normal temperature are noted with pump, continue with next step.

  4. Replace Hydraulic System 2 Filter Element.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Swap the reservoir temperature transducer 2 (MT141) with the reservoir temperature transducer 1 (MT138).

    1. If system checks are good, replace reservoir temperature transducer 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Perform wiring checks between Hyd System 2 Reservoir Temperature Transducer (MT141) and DAU 2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  7. Swap DAU 2 with DAU 4.

    1. If system checks are good, replace DAU 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  8. Swap hydraulic filter manifolds.

    1. If system checks are good, replace defective hydraulic filter manifold and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  9. Replace heat-exchanger bypass-valve.
  10. Do close out.
