Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Disconnect the left WTC and inspect connectors and contacts.

    1. If defects are found, rectify as required.
    2. If no defects are found, reconnect the WTC and continue with next step.

  2. Perform a ground Functional Test.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Interchange the left WTC with the right WTC

    1. If confirmed faulty, replace defective WTC and do close out.
    2. If fault still present on same side, continue with next step.

  4. Carry out a resistance check of the windshield/side window.
NOTE: The message could be posted for either the windshield or side window, the measurement need to be done on both.

  5. Measure the Heater resistance between T1 and T2 of both the windshield and side window. The total resistance of the anti-fog coating when measured between terminal blocks shall be 11.73 Ω - 15.87 Ω (at 19°C - 29°C).

    1. If resistance within range, continue with next step.
    2. If resistance out of range, replace affected windshield/side window and do close out.

  6. Measure the temperature sensor resistance between S1 and S2 of both the windshield and side window (refer to Windshield and Side Window Temperature Sensor Resistance Chart).

    1. If resistance within range, go to step 8..
    2. If resistance out of range, continue with next step.

  7. Connect spare temperature sensor on left windshield or side window (HR9/HR8).
  8. Do close out.
