Message Description:
The Left Window Heater/wiring has been detected Short Circuit (Heater Current ≥ 50 ±10 A).
Possible Causes:
- Left Side Window Heater
- Left Windshield Temperature Controller (WTC) (A164)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Remove all connectors from the left WTC. Inspect connectors and pins for damage/defects.
- If no defects or damage is found, reconnect the WTC connectors and continue with next step.
- If defects or damage is found, repair/rectify as required.
- Perform wiring checks between Left window heater and L WTC.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Measure the Heater resistance. The total resistance of the anti-fog coating when measured between terminal blocks shall be 27.47 to 33.57 ohms.
- If resistance is within range, go to step 4.
- If resistance is out of range, continue with next step.
- Interchange WTCs. Replace if necessary.
- If systems checks out, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace left-side Window.
- Do close out.
