Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Remove all connectors from the right WTC. Inspect connectors and pins for damage/defects.
- If defects or damage is found, repair defective WTC connectors as required and do close out.
- If no defects or damage is found, reconnect the WTC connectors and continue with next step..
- Interchange the right WTC with the left WTC
- If confirmed faulty, replace defective WTC and do close out.
- If fault still present on same side, continue with next step.
- Carry out a resistance check of the windshield and side window.
NOTE: The message could be posted for either the windshield or side window, the measurement need to be done on both. - Measure the Heater resistance between T1 and T2 of both windshield and side window. The total resistance of the anti-fog coating when measured between terminal blocks shall be 11.73 Ω - 15.87 Ω (at 19°C - 29°C).
- If resistance within range, continue with next step.
- If resistance out of range, replace affected windshield/side window and do close out.
- Measure the temperature sensor resistance between S1 and S2 of both windshield and side window (refer to Windshield and Side Window Temperature Sensor Resistance Chart).
- If resistance within range, go to step 7.
- If resistance out of range, continue with next step.
- Connect spare temperature sensor on right windshield/side window(HR7/HR6).
- Do close out.
