There are three temperature sensors installed between the plies of each windshield and side window, one for control and monitoring and two spares.

1. Remove all connectors from the right WTC. Inspect connectors and pins for damage/defects.

   1. If no defects or damage is found, reconnect the WTC connectors and continue with next step.
   2. If defects or damage is found, repair/rectify as required

2. Perform wiring checks between Right Windshield Temperature Sensor and R WTC.

   1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
   2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

3. Measure the temperature sensor resistance (refer to Windshield and Side Window Temperature Sensor Resistance Char).

   1. If resistance within range, go to step 6.
   2. If resistance out of range, continue with next step.

4. Connect spare temperature sensor on right windshield (HR7 S2 and S3).

   1. If system checks are good, do close out.
   2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

5. Replace Windshield.

   1. If system checks are good, do close out.
   2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

6. Interchange WTCs and replace faulty unit if necessary.
7. Do close out.
