Message Description:
A Right Windshield Heater/wiring has been detected OPEN.
- Heater Current ≥11.07±1.01 A with 33% Heating Level
- Heater Current ≥19.13±1.74 A with 100% Heating Level
Possible Causes:
- Right Windshield and Side Window Temperature Controller (WTC) (A165)
- Right Windshield Heater
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Remove all connectors from the right WTC. Inspect connectors and pins for damage/defects.
- If no defects or damage is found, reconnect the WTC connectors and continue with next step.
- If defects or damage is found, repair/rectify as required.
- Perform wiring checks between Right windshield heater and R WTC.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Measure the Heater resistance. The total resistance of the anti-fog coating when measured between terminal blocks shall be 11.73 Ω -15.87 Ω (at 19°C-29°C).
- If resistance is within range, go to step 5.
- If resistance is out of range, continue with next step.
- Replace right windshield heater.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Interchange the right WTC with the left WTC to confirm faulty unit and replace if required.
- Do close out.
