Fault Description:
The Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 1 is not receiving valid data from the Heater/Brake Temperature Monitor Unit (HBMU) 1.
Possible Causes:
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 1 (A17)
- Heater/Brake Temperature Monitor Unit (HBMU) 1 (A121)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Check if the internal fault for the ADC, DAU, EEC or EMS CDU is displayed.
- If YES, perform the applicable troubleshooting and do close out.
- If NO, continue with the next step.
- Disconnect the connector A121P2 from HBMU 1 and remove DAU 1 to get access to the connector A17P1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A121P2-5 A17CP1-A9 A121P2-6 A17CP1-A10 A121P2-33 A17CP1-K1 A121P2-34 A17CP1-K2 - If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with the next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A121P2-5 Ground A121P2-6 Ground A121P2-K1 Ground A121P2-K2 Ground - If there is continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with the next step.
- Swap HBMU 1 with HBMU 2. Is the fault still present?
- If NO, replace HBMU 1 and do close out.
- If YES, continue with the next step.
- Replace DAU 1.
- Do close out.
