Fault Description:
The Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 1 senses a fault in the System that supplies its power.
Possible Causes:
- Secondary-Power Distribution Assembly (SPDA) 2 (A14)
- Junction Box (JB5)/PCB1
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 1 (A17)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- On the EMS CDU, make sure that DAU CH 1A is set to "IN".
- If the circuit breaker is not set to "IN", investigate the reason and if possible, set it to "IN" and do close out.
- If the circuit breaker is set to "IN", continue with next step.
- Remove the DAU 1 and perform a 28 VDC voltage check on connector A17AP1-A1.
- If there is no 28 VDC, go to step 4.
- If there is 28 VDC, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A17AP1-A2 Ground A17AP1-K2 Ground - If there is continuity, go to step 7.
- If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A17AP1-A2 Ground A17AP1-K2 Ground A17AP1-A1 JB5EP1-33 JB5EP1-32 A14P1-C - If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with the next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A17AP1-A1 Ground JB5EP1-33 Ground JB5EP1-32 Ground A14P1-C Ground - If there is continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with the next step.
- Investigate the SPDA power source.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace DAU 1.
- Do close out.
