Fault Description:
The Data Acquisition Unit (DAU 2) senses that the Position Transducer from the left column on CH A is out of range.
Possible Causes:
- Left Column Position Rotary Variable Differential Transducer (RVDT) (MT218)
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 2 (A18)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Remove the DAU 2 to get access to the connector A18AP1 and left column position transducer to get access to the connector MT218P1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A18AP1-D7 MT218P1-4 A18AP1-E7 MT218P1-5 - If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A18AP1-D7 Ground A18AP1-E7 Ground - If there is continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with the next step.
- Swap DAU 2 with DAU 4. Is the fault still present?
- If NO, replace DAU 2 and do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Replace the left column position transducer.
- Do close out.
