Fault Description:
The Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 2 is not receiving valid data from the Heater/Brake Temperature Monitor Unit (HBMU) 2.
Possible Causes:
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 2 (A18)
- Heater/Brake Temperature Monitor Unit (HBMU) 2 (A93)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Check if the internal fault for the ADC, DAU, EEC or EMS CDU is displayed.
- If YES, perform the applicable troubleshooting and do close out.
- If NO, continue with the next step.
- Disconnect the connector A93P2 from HBMU 2 and remove DAU 2 to get access to the connector A18CP1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A93P2-5 A18CP1-A9 A93P2-6 A18CP1-A10 A93P2-33 A18CP1-K1 A93P2-34 A18CP1-K2 - If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A93P2-5 Ground A93P2-6 Ground A93P2-K1 Ground A93P2-K2 Ground - If there is continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with next step.
- Swap HBMU 2 with HBMU 3.
- If system checks are good, replace HBMU 2 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace DAU 2.
- Do close out.
