Fault Description:
The Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 does not receive ARINC 429 data from the Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1.
Possible Causes:
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 (A30)
- Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 (A124)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Remove DAU 3 to get access to the connector A30CP1 and SFCU 1 to get access to the connector A124AP1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A30CP1-H8 A124AP1-66 A30CP1-J8 A124AP1-79 - If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with the next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A30CP1-H8 Ground A30CP1-J8 Ground - If there is continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with the next step.
- Swap DAU 3 with DAU 1. Is the fault still present?
- If NO, replace DAU 3 and do close out.
- If YES, continue with the next step.
- Replace the SFCU 1.
- Do close out.
