AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Data Acquisition System reports that the LRU label 270 is transmitted with incorrect Source Destination Identifier (SDI) or invalid Sign Status Matrix (SSM).

Possible Causes:

  • Auxiliary Power Unit Full Authority Digital Engine Controller (FADEC) (A108)
  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 (A30)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Using PMAT, access CAIMS active faults. Are there any active or stored faults related to the Data Aquisition System displayed?

    1. If YES, perform troubleshooting for the corresponding troubleshooting in SmartFix Plus.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Check if there are any "INACTIVE" faults for the same LRU.

    1. If YES, ignore the APU FADEC INVALID fault message and identify the cause for the "INACTIVE" conditions first.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  3. Swap DAU 3 with DAU 1. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace DAU 3 and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  4. Replace the FADEC.
  5. Do close out.
