Fault Description:
The Data Acquisition System does not receive any ARINC 429 information from the Full Authority Digital Engine Controller (FADEC).
Possible Causes:
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 (A30)
- Full Authority Digital Engine Controller (FADEC) (A108)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Check the AC wiring-harness for bare wiring, kinks, worn areas and other damage.
- If there is a damage, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no damage, continue with next step.
- Remove DAU 3 to get access to the connector A30CP1 and the FADEC to get access to the connector A108BP1. Perform a continuity check between the connectors that follow. Is continuity less than one ohm for each wire?
From To Result A30CP1-F6 A108BP1-A9 A30CP1-G6 A108BP1-B9 - If NO, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Check if there is 28 VDC power between the pins of the connector that follows:
From To Result A108BP1-115 (+) A108BP1-113 (GND) A108BP1-114 (+) A108BP1-113 (GND) - If NO, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Swap DAU 3 with DAU 1. Is the fault still present?
- If NO, replace DAU 3 and do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Replace the FADEC.
- Do close out.
