Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Check that the L FUEL CUTOFF/OFF light on the Throttle Quadrant panel comes on by performing the following steps:

    1. In the flight compartment, set the PBA switch to BRT on the COCKPIT LIGHTS (INTEGRAL) control panel.
    2. On the EMS CDU, momentarily push the SYSTEM TEST pushbutton. Check that the SYSTEM TEST menu shows on the display.
    3. Set the left Line Select Key (LSK) to LAMP TEST 1. Check that the LAMP TEST1 OFF is highlighted.
    4. Set the right LSK to LAMP TEST 1. Check that the OFF changes to TEST.

  2. Check if the L FUEL CUTOFF/OFF annunciator light on the control panel comes on.

    1. If the annunciator light on the control panel does not come on, replace the defective bulbs and do close out.
    2. If the annunciator light on the control panel comes on, continue with next step.

  3. Remove the DAU 3 to get access to the connector A30BP1 and the lamp dimmer power supply 2 to get access to the connector A146P1. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    A30BP1-K5 A146P1-C

    1. If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    A30BP1-K5 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Swap DAU 3 with DAU 1. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace DAU 3 and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  6. Replace the lamp dimmer power supply 2.
  7. Do close out.
