Fault Description:
The Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 4 senses a fault related to the R HYD SOV/CLOSED Lamp Driver on the HYDRAULIC Firewall Shut-Off Valve Control Panel.
Possible Causes:
- Lamp Dimmer Power Supply (LDPS) 3 (A147)
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 4 (A31)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Check that the R HYD SOV/CLOSED light on the HYDRAULIC Firewall Shut-Off Valve control panel comes on by performing the following steps:
- In the flight compartment, set the PBA switch to BRT on the COCKPIT LIGHTS (INTEGRAL) control panel.
- On the EMS CDU, momentarily push the SYSTEM TEST pushbutton. Check that the SYSTEM TEST menu shows on the display.
- Set the left Line Select Key (LSK) to LAMP TEST 1. Check that the LAMP TEST1 OFF is highlighted.
- Set the right LSK to LAMP TEST 1. Check that the OFF changes to TEST.
- Check if the R HYD SOV/CLOSED annunciator light on the control panel comes on.
- If NO, replace the defective bulbs and do close out.
- If YES, continue with the next step.
- Remove the DAU 4 to get access to the connector A31AP1 and the lamp dimmer power supply 3 to get access to the connector A147P1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A31AP1-A6 A147P1-C - If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A31AP1-A6 Ground - If there is continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with next step.
- Swap DAU 4 with DAU 2. Is the fault still present?
- If NO, replace DAU 4 and do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Replace lamp dimmer power supply 3.
- Do close out.
