Fault Description:
The Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 4 senses a fault in the System that supplies its power.
Possible Causes:
- Secondary-Power Distribution Assembly (SPDA) 4 (A16)
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 4 (A31)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- On the EMS CDU, make sure that DAU CH 4B is set to "IN".
- If the circuit breaker is not set to "IN", investigate the reason and if possible, set it to "IN" and do close out.
- If the circuit breaker is set to "IN", continue with next step.
- Remove the DAU 3 and perform a 28 VDC voltage check on DAU 4 connector A31BP1 as follows:
DAU 4 Expected Result Result A31BP1-A14 28 VDC - If there is no 28 VDC, go to step 4.
- If there is 28 VDC, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A31BP1-A15 Ground A31BP1-K15 Ground - If there is continuity, go to step 6.
- If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A31BP1-A14 A16P1-B A31BP1-A15 Ground A31BP1-K15 Ground - If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with the next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A31BP1-A14 Ground - If there is continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, investigate the SPDA power source and do close out.
- Replace DAU 4.
- Do close out.
