Fault Description:
Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU) has detected a failure with the Side Brace Control Valve. This fault is normally internal to the LGECU but could be external.
Possible Causes:
- Side Brace Control Valve (L15)
- Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LGECU) (A52)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Re-rack LGECU.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks of the Side Brace Control Valve OPEN Command wires between the LGECU connector A52BP1 and the Landing Gear Selector Valve including the ground.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Measure Side Brace Control Valve Solenoid resistance (pins A and B) - between 57 and 65 Ohms at 68°F (20°C).
- If resistance is within range, go to step 5.
- If resistance is out of range, continue with next step.
- Replace Side Brace Control Valve.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace LGECU.
- Do close out.
