Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Landing Gear Handle Switches has been detected in disagree condition by the Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU).

Possible Causes:

  • Landing Gear Control Handle A2(S3)
  • Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU) (A52)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Re-seat LGECU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks of the Extend/Retract Command wires between LGECU (A52BP1) and Landing Gear Handle including the Gear Handle grounds.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Perform continuity check of the Landing Gear Handle switches.

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.
      NOTE:

    • EXT command=Continuity when Handle is down and no continuity with handle up
    • RET command=Continuity when Handle is up and no continuity with handle down

  4. Replace Landing gear control handle.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace LGECU.
  6. Do close out.
