Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LGECU) has detected a failure in the Stall Protection Computer (SPC) wiring.

Possible Causes:

  • Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU) (A52)
  • Electrical Management System Control and Display Unit (EMS CDU) 1 (A94)
  • Stall Protection Computer (SPC) (A40)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Re-rack the Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LGECU). Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  2. Re-rack the Stall Protection Computer (SPC). Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  3. Perform a wiring check of the MAIN GEAR WOW B wire between the LGECU connector A52BP1 and the SPC connector A40AP1 and A40BP1.

    1. If wiring defects are found, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If no defects are found, continue with next step.

  4. Replace the LGECU. Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  5. Replace the SPC.
  6. Do close out.
