Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU) has detected a failure in the Stall Protection Computer (SPC) wiring.

Possible Causes:

  • Stall Protection Computer (SPC) (A40)
  • Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU) (A52)
  • Associated Wiring

NOTE: May be a nuisance Fault during power up. Reset the LGECU circuit breakers.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Reset the circuit breakers.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Re-seat the LGECU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Re-seat the SPC.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Perform wiring check of the Main Gear WOW wire between the LGECU connector (A52BP1) and the SPC connector (A40BP1) and check the loads for failure.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Replace LGECU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace SPC.
  7. Do close out.
