Fault Description:
Head-Up-Display (HUD) System does not receive communication from the Infrared Sensor Unit (ISU), the ISU is invalid or the HUD is invalid.
Possible Causes:
- Infrared Sensor Unit (ISU) (A318)
- Head-Up Flight Display Computer (HFDC) (A250)
- Associated Wiring

If more fault reports are sent by a different system about the same IRU, do the CAIMS Test of the Integrated Avionics Computer (IRU) System.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform a wiring check for open or short circuit to ground between HUDC and ISU as follows:
From To Result A250DP1-G1 A318P1-H A250DP1-H1 A318P1-Z - If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace HUDC.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step
- Replace Infrared sensor unit (ISU).
- Do close out.
