Fault Description:
Loss of communication on ARINC 429 bus from Global Positioning System (GPS) 2 is detected by Enhanced Ground-Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) Computer.
Possible Causes:
- Global Positioning System (GPS) (A212)
- Enhanced Ground-Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) Computer (A64)
- Junction Box (JB) 4
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Consult EGPWS - NFF reduction before performing the troubleshooting.
- Swap GPS 2 with GPS 1.
- If system checks are good, replace GPS 2 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks between GPS 2, JB4 and EGPWS Computer.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
NOTE: Remove all interface components for short circuit checks.
- Replace EGPWS Computer.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace JB4.
- Do close out.
