WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

A difference greater than 10°C has been detected between the two temperature sensing elements of the LEFT INBD WING AI TEMP SENSOR. Inhibited during Take-Off and Landing.

NOTE: On BMC P/N GG546-1017-11 and older, the difference is 5°C instead of 10°C.

Possible Causes:

  • Left Inboard Wing Anti-Ice Temperature Sensor (E39)
  • Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 1 (A69)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap Left INBD WING AI TEMP SENSOR with Right INBD WING AI TEMP SENSOR.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Left INBD WING AI TEMP SENSOR and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between BMC 1 and LEFT INBD WING AI TEMP SENSOR.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Replace BMC 1.
  4. Do close out.
