Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Left Bleed Pressure Transducer (BPT) is not reporting a correct pressure. Inhibited during Take-off and Landing.

Possible Causes:

  • Left Bleed Pressure Transducer (BPT) (MT96)
  • Junction Box 3 (JB3)
  • Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 1 (A69)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap BPT 1 with BTP 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace BTP 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between BMC 1 and L BPT.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between BMC 1 and JB3.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
      NOTE: Remove all interface components for short test.

  4. Swap BMC 1 with BMC 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace BMC 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace JB3.
  6. Do close out.
