Message Description:

A leak has been detected by Bleed Management Controller 2 (BMC) LEFT BLEED AIR DUCTS Loops and have been simultaneously detected by Bleed Management Controller 1 (BMC) LEFT BLEED AIR DUCTS Loops. Inhibited during take-off and Landing.

Possible Causes:

  • Uroseals
  • Bleed Air Leak Detection Loop Installation or Routing
  • Left Bleed Air Duct

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

NOTE: If both BMC 1 and BMC 2 are flagging the same duct segment, there is a good chance that an actual leak is present.

  1. Make sure the Leak Detection Elements are installed correctly, refer to AMM task "36-12-00-910-801 - Bleed Leak-Detection-Loops and Components Maintenance Practices".

    1. If the loops are installed properly, continue with the next step.
    2. If routing or installation errors are found, resolve the routing or installation issues and do close out.

  2. Do the AMM task "36-11-61-790-801 - Leak Test of the UROSEAL Joints".
    NOTE: Refer to the Aft Equipment Bay Bleed Leak Troubleshooting Aid Reference Document for help in identifying leaks, component identification and tooling instructions.
  3. Are results satisfactory?

    1. If YES, do the close out.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  4. Do the AMM task "36-11-61-820-801 - Rigging of the UROSEALS".
  5. Do the close out.
