Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Visually inspect the engine branched wiring-harness for bare wiring, kinks, worn areas and other damage.

    1. If harness checks are good, go to step 3.
    2. If there is bare wiring, kinks, worn areas or other damage, continue with next step.

  2. Replace or repair Engine branched wiring-harness.

    1. If fault message is gone, do close out.
    2. If fault message remains, continue with next step.

  3. Examine Inlet Temperature Sensor receptacle MT3 for contamination and damage.

    1. If Inlet Temperature Sensor receptacle MT3 is contaminated or damaged, go to step 7.
    2. If fault is gone, do close out.
    3. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. On Inlet Temperature Sensor receptacle MT3, do continuity check between pins A and B. If no open or short are present, continuity should be between 50 and 250 ohms. Continuity at various temperatures are as follows: 32 F = 90.38 ohms, 86 F = 100.91 ohms, 140 F=112.28 ohms and 194 F = 124.55 ohms (refer to CMM).

    1. If resistance is out of range, go to step 7.
    2. If resistance is within range and OMS fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Perform wiring checks between P802 (APU) and (MT3P1) inlet temperature sensor (T2). Continuity should be less than one ohms, if no open circuit is present (refer to CMM).

      From To Result
      P802-63 MT3P1-A (+)
      P802-64 MT3P1-B (-)

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  6. Perform wiring checks between J802 (AC wiring harness) and A108BP1 (APU FADEC).

      From To Result
      J802-63 A108BP1-H5 (+)
      J802-64 A108BP1-J5 (-)

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with step 8.

  7. Replace Inlet Temperature Sensor (T2).

    1. If fault is gone from the OMS, do close out.
    2. If fault on the OMS remains, go to step 5.

  8. Replace APU FADEC.
  9. Do close out.
